| AN ODE TO WALL STREET'S ODOR AND THOSE MAKING IT STINK |
|
FINES are OK, when the crimes are little Like fighting, hopping a 'stile or projecting some spittle
But when billions in loot are stolen away Like Wall Street did to investors each day
Then the smack should be a little harder Than the one you'd get from your father
Citigroup had to pay just a pittance for its Enron mistakes Which is on par with punishment for all the other fakes
But here's an idea the feds should try Throw some of these bastards into the fire to fry
A little time away from their fine homes will never fail To impress on all of them the importance of avoiding jail. snip
Not as good as Robert Frost perhaps, but more topical.
I wonder how much Rupert Murdoch appreciates his new Poet Lauriatte (sp?)
I'm sorry but the link is not working, but it is the beginning of John Crudele's column in the financial section of the NY Post
