| Government Has Failed Us, Not Freedom |
|
What is capitalism? Many might argue on its definition. In the end it doesn't matter. What our market has become and has been for a very long time now is not a free market. It has become the opposite of freedom.
The right to life, liberty and property. The right to control one's own property. It is the government whop has violated property rights, by taking our property (money) and giving it directly to others (people and or corporations). It is the government who has violated liberty, by punishing people who have possessed and sold various plants, and anything else the government or its lobbyist deem inappropriate.
Both parties seem to be just fine with taking our rights away. They do it in different ways, so we argue with each other and fight one another.

| 1. I think it is more about markets |

The radical capitalism pushed by the right IS bad for freedom. It leads to pushing people out of planes and gunning them down in stadiums. It has been tried is South America.

Jesus, people forget in this country that WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT, but it doesn't work that way if most of us sit on our asses and do nothing. I'm sick of the 'blame government' meme. It's anyone's fault who does not educate themselves and actively participate in this democratic republic as outlined by The Constitution.

| 3. True, but many elected government officials say one thing to the people and do another |
|
And many many elected officials freely pass laws that allow government to violate our freedoms.
