With a generating capacity of 402.6 kilowatts, the project will be the second largest corporate installation of photovoltaics in Tucson, the bank said. It will be installed by Scottsdale-based Natural Power and Energy.
The 24,000-square-foot installation of 1,320 panels will be placed on the roof of the parking garage that serves the bank headquarters and an adjacent building the bank leases.
The bank said the system will reduce electricity costs of the two buildings, which total 128,824 square feet, by about 25 percent and produce at least 580,000 kilowatt hours annually.
