Smart Car Rental: Hertz To Offer Electric Smart Car
Hertz adds another EV to its impressive lineup.


In the continuing electric vehicle race, car rental giant Hertz Corporation has set itself up to be the first United States rental company to offer EVs as part of its rental program.

The company announced an agreement with Smart USA to offer the electric version of the Smart ForTwo as part of its Connect by Hertz fleet. Hertz already has agreements with Coda Automotive, General Motors Co., Mitsubishi Motors and Toyota Motor Corp. to provide all-electric cars and plug-in hybrids for its EV rental fleet.
