| 1. California is above normal for rainfall as of last week... |
And with global warming, which puts a lot more moisture in the air, we could see a rise in many of our wanting lakes. Mono Lake will absolutely feel an increase... the snowfall in the Sierras is over 127% greater than normal... and they don't get "real" snow until January/February. There was a lot of snow left on the northern slopes in August this year.

| 2. Yes, but it'll take years of above average rainfall to fill our |
California reservoirs. And unfortunately, Mono lake water isn't drinkable. It's about two and a half times saltier and eighty times more alkaline than the ocean.

| 3. We are heading into many, many years of above average rainfall... |

That's all part of the global climate changes we're beginning to see right now. I'm not suggesting we waste water... I think we should be corralling all this water that's pouring down on So Cal right now! http://radar.weather.gov/radar_lite.php?product=NCR&rid=SOX&loop=yes

water run off from the Eastern Sierras and Owens Valley for at least as far north as Bishop, and maybe farther.
