3. I'd be satisfied if 2006 brought Democratic majorities in the

House and Senate so Bush and Cheney could be impeached in 2007 and Kerry or Gore became Speaker of the House, then President (this last part is the easiest-just a resignation, a change of residency and an appointment by a friendly Governor).

I'm saving my "we are totally fucked" thoughts for New Year's Eve.

Happy Holidays, celebrate the birth of that magical baby born under curious circumstances if that's your thing. Christmas carols are on the stereo, I'm no believer, but I was raised in this country, you can like the music once a year without joining the band.
