Twenty-eight campaigners have been arrested during a "mass day of action" against carbon emissions at Britain's largest coal-fired power station.
Hundreds of demonstrators plan to disrupt operations at Drax Power Station in North Yorkshire.
The arrests were for offences including possession of offensive weapons and causing a public nuisance.
Police said the majority were arrested outside Drax but said a "small number" had gained access to the plant.
