BURBANK, Wash. - President Bush (news - web sites) said Friday his administration has helped bring about an increase in salmon populations in the Pacific Northwest while keeping a campaign commitment to affordable hydroelectric power for the region's citizens.

"We can have good clean hydroelectric power and salmon restoration going on at the same time," he said to whoops of approval from a crowd assembled on a spot overlooking a Snake River dam.

Democrats, noting that experts believe the increased salmon runs throughout the region are mostly due to weather and tidal patterns in the Pacific Ocean, said it was ludicrous for the president to claim even partial credit."


This is insane even for the Shrub. Next he'll claim that the sun will come up tomorrow because of him. The Radical Right will simply nod their heads and agree. This administration has done nothing but set environmental protection back decades.:argh:
