Since Cheney hasn't specified when or how things will go wrong "because Obama's not tough enough," when something,
anything, does go wrong, the talking heads on Fox can say "Dick Cheney predicted this would happen." Of course, he's predicted nothing of the sort; it's on a par with Nostradamus supposedly predicting 9/11:
At forty-five degrees the sky will burn
Fire to approach the great new city
The Greek for "new city" is
nea polis, whence is derived the name of Naples. Downtown Naples is about six miles from the crater of Vesuvius. Nostradamus was predicting Vesuvius, which had become quiescent in the late 1200s, would erupt again at some point. But since he didn't specify
whenSimilarly, predicting that "something will go wrong" is too general to be of use. Of course something will go wrong, whether or not Obama is "tough enough." Let's not forget that the Bush administration's approach to North Korea hasn't caused it to halt, let alone abandon its nuclear weapons program.
