They had a plan.
They had a plan for occupying Iraq. Maybe not a great one, but they had a plan. And this plan called for some practical measures, such as using the Iraqi Army to maintain order.
They had a plan and they threw it out. They threw it out because they (the neos) had Chalabi whispering in their ears -- and because they believed their own lies.
So they threw out the plan. --- And then they "winged" it.
And so, planless, and clueless, they blew it.
The neos blew it and now we are screwed.
...
The neos had a plan; it was not their own; they threw it out; they blundered (and blunder) hopelessly and mindlessly... And we must not let them forget it!
(I am beginning to think that history is simply being erased. I wonder what gets erased next?)

I thought Bremer dumped the "lets use the Iraqi troops to maintain order" plan. One of his first decisions. Could be that came from the Chalabi influenced neocons.
Who was the first "administrator"? I think his plan was to send home the senior Baathist officers and then use the regular troops. But he was dumped after just a day or so on the job. Right?

http://www.alternet.org/story/18315/http://www.narsil.org/war_on_iraq/garner_bbc.htmlhttp://www.montanaforum.com/rednews/2003/07/13/build/safety/q-postwar.php?nnn=6I find it interesting that the google link to the Garner interview as reported by MSNBC is available cached only. (try: "Ex-US boss in Iraq sees mistakes" -- yet there is older stuff on MSNBC.) History is not merely being rewritten, it is being erased.
