| Heckler and Koch to open US Plant |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-22-03 12:22 AM by Iluvleiberman
Oh wow! A domestic plant so the GCA of 1968 and the import ban of 1989 are usesless. More rifles and handguns for US customers! http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/business/6547338.htm

| 2. Probably No Civilian sales though |
|
Or at least that is what the H&K peeps at Shot Show said.
What they are really doing is setting themselves up for sales to the US military. They seem to be in the lead in race to replace the M-16.
Now I have heard that Sig is seriously considering a US plant for pretty much Civilian sales only.

I'd love to get my hands on a Made In USA Sig 550 rifle. It would be a nice addition to my safe, and tons of fun at the range.
