De facto government police arrest Fatah Youth planning Prisoners Day events

Gaza – Ma’an – Repressive actions are being carried out by de facto government forces in the Gaza Strip against Fatah youth members preparing to mark Prisoners Day in Rafah, head of the youth council in the Gaza Strip Mahmoud Qanan said Thursday.

Several of the young men organizing events were arrested during planning sessions, Qanan said.

Jenin Freedom Theatre survives second arson attempt following production of Animal Farm

Bethlehem - Ma’an - The Freedom Theatre was set ablaze by an unknown arsonist Wednesday morning in what appears to be a second attempt to destroy the building.

One month ago, when arsonists burned the Al-Kamanjati Society for Music in Jenin building to the ground, destroying thousands of dollars of instruments and equipment, a first attempt to set fire to the Freedom Theatre was also made.
