One Palestinian was killed by "friendly fire" and five others wounded in Nablus on Wednesday, as IDF forces successfully thwarted two suicide bomb attacks and arrested the commander of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Samaria whom the army said was responsible for the deaths of Israelis.
In a combined operation carried out by the Shin Bet and IDF forces in Nablus in the early morning, security forces arrested DFLP commander Wajdi Azmi Sabti Judah, 27.
According to security sources, Judah initiated terror attacks on behalf of the movement and has been wanted since February 2002.
Judah also maintained close contacts with Yamin Faraj and Amjad Malitat of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine who were killed by security forces on July 6 when they attempted to evade arrest. In recent years he made constant attempts to launch suicide bomb attacks in Israel, among them the attack at the Geha Junction last December in which four civilians were killed and scores wounded.
