(In response to my email stating all the American Jewish people I've ever met, growing up with in Chicago, met on the West Coast, met is Asia would never support what Sharon is doing. The Jewish people I've met were the most liberal, fun, out going, good sense of humor, considerate, non-violent... people I've met. It sort of goes with what Michael Moore wrote in USA Today.)
My European friend said:
The trouble is that the diversity of the american public opinion isn't
projected worldwide by american medias, hollywood movies and US
corporations, let alone by american politicians. The world gets the
impression of America being a monolithic, almost stalinist state where it may be dangerous to speak out against Bush. To many europeans it looks like the former Soviet Union with a religious spin!
It leads to believe that as a democratic country whose leader is
"normally" elected by the people, the americans must fully agree with the huge and
unconditional support their country is giving to Israel (98 billions
dollars of financial help from 1948 to 2003 - half of America's aid to the
developing world). This is creating a great anger towards the US all
over the world.
Jews in Israel and in America or in any other country have every
reasons to worry : Sharon's policy of apartheid towards the palestinians will
ultimately lead them to disaster : israelis will finally be overwhelmed
by the masses of arab populations around them that have nothing to lose
(unless they kill them all).

In fact, the country is full of RINOs — Republicans In Name Only

about the jews than about the palestinians.
