Ten Palestinians and three Israelis have been killed in the Gaza Strip as Israel stepped up its incursion into the heart of Jabaliya refugee camp.Israeli bulldozers are pulling down Palestinians houses in the camp and up to 72 Palestinians have been wounded in exchanges of fire, witnesses say.
Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants and civilians are among those killed and wounded.
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has ordered in reinforcements into Gaza.
Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz announced he was launching a large-scale and open-ended military operation in the Gaza Strip to stop Palestinian rocket fire on Israeli border towns, Israel Army radio reported.
