The settlers' leaders have begun preparations for building protest camps in Gush Katif to accommodate tens of thousands of people who are expected to come to help them resist the evacuation.
The Yesha council and the Gush Katif council have ordered 1,200 tents, 1,000 chemical toilets, some 100 generators in case their power supply is cut off, thousands of meters of cables and thousands of light bulb sockets, Neveh Dekalim secretariat chairman Lior Kalfa told Haaretz Tuesday.
Preparations include a large protest camp near Neveh Dekalim, and other smaller ones in other settlements in the Gaza Strip.
We are preparing for the possibility that the state will try to evacuate us, and we must take care of tens of thousands of people who will arrive to support us in the struggle against the uprooting," Kalfa said.
