1. well yes, I have no doubt there was some intention in the administration

of making Iraq into a quagmire. And in fact, I think the Iraq war and subsequent quagmire in part was about covering up 9/11. The analogy would be the escalation of Vietnam to cover up the JFK assassination and executive coup.

2. Spooked, I find that alalogy weak. For one thing, the article in the OP makes no

such claim that would be covered by your analogy.

For another, there is a lot more reason to believe that the Kennedy assassination may have been related to Kennedy's change of heart on a foriegn adventure in Vietnam instead of Vietnam being caused by the desire destract attention from the Kennedy assassination.

Just my 2 cents.
