Over the last seven days, thousands of Americans have participated in Media for Democracy's " Citizens Debate Scorecard
http://www.mediachannel.org/debate2004 ," scoring the debates in real time -- and before partisan spin-doctors can tell the media which candidate won and which one lost.
Tonight's town hall debate in St. Louis will be no different, which is why we want you to join our citizens panel
http://www.mediachannel.org/debate2004/register ; watch the debates and then beat the spin-doctors to the punch
http://www.mediachannel.org/debate2004 -- by giving us your honest assessment as soon as the candidates leave the stage.
The Scorecard asks which issues and candidate aspects were glossed over, which were examined in excess -- and which were just right. You will rate the questioning skills and style of ABC moderator Charlie Gibson and assess the audience's role in the town hall format. And you will respond to the that format and whether it encouraged a frank discussion between candidates. Within hours of the close of the debate, results from your monitoring will be summarized by media analyst Andrew Tyndall and fed back to the press as a voter-driven guide to covering the issues that matter to Americans most.
