In Georgia today, Howard Mead lost to Deborah Burns for Judgeship.

Someone please tell me who Deborah Burns is because down here in SW Ga we never heard of her until yesterday. Did she run well in North GA to win/something? (results of votes on Tuesday)

1. Well, she's from Cobb county so her name is
familiar in these parts. She didn't have the kind of money Mead had to spend on the campaign, but according to the paper, it was her hometown support that got her elected.
