Do we fit in the Green party better?

Personally i find i fit in the green party better than in the democratic party. I would not vote green for president or anything but i am just wondering if anyone feels the same way about the green party.

recognize that the Green party is becoming a threat to the Democratic party by standing up for liberal interests that the Democrats just don't care about anymore. The Republicans are exploiting the weakness in the Democrats left wing (or what's left of it anyway.)

Instead of getting mad at the Green party, why not get angry at the Democratic party for allowing a weakness that can be exploited by the Republicans?

had any appeal, they wouldn't give them a dime. The Green Party is a gang of useful idiots. Americans have never, and short of a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions -- not even the Depression could do it -- will never embrace the pink kind of socialism the Greens espouse. I'm sure they sit around sipping their lattes, talking about hanging the capitalists with the capitalists' own rope, while in the meantime the capitalists are out running the country and laughing at them.

I'd be careful throwing around blanket statements such as, "America will never..." America is still an infant nation and there is no telling where the crash of capitalism (and there will be one) will take this country.

When will the time come? Under what circumstances do you see the wealthiest and most powerful country the world has ever known, one with a tradition of 230 years of adherance to a conservative brand of liberalism, throw all of that away and decide to embrace socialism?

Work for your ideals. But they aren't mine, they aren't the Democratic Party's, they aren't the country's -- and they simply never will be. And the Republicans thank you for getting out of their way, and in ours, even if they have to throw a few dollars your way to help you out.

I vote for them whenever possible, and with the direction the Democratic party is going, I see myself voting for them even more often.

I definitely do! I went to a voting rights rally in D.C. and I was so impressed with Pat (forget her last name). The Greens are fighting for our rights in Ohio, and so are the Libertarians. I wouldn't vote Libertarian, but I respect their guy and his adherence to the Constitution.

4. I vote Green for local offices

whenever I can, because putting people into local office is how we get progressives into the political pipleline.

I may be compelled to vote Green nationally if the Democratic Party doesn't reupudiate the DLC and their habit of dragging the party so far to the right that the base is alienated.

At a presidential level, there always is that Nader effect for third parties. Until they get large enough to be competitive, they will usually only detract from the party they are most like.

I fit the Green Party much better than the Democratic Party, but I'm a pragmatic voter, and I've always been loyal to the Dems. I'll give the Dems another couple of chances to get their shit together, which is quite a lot to give, given that each election cycle is 4 years.

I do NOT want to see another Tom Daschle around, slipping and sliding and bending over backwards to be more obsequious to the Repukes. THAT will drive me away faster than anything. I have voted for the Green party pres. the last three elections. Nader ran the previous two times, and this time it was David Cobb. I'm kinda lucky cuz I live in a state where I have been able to count on the Dem.s winning the electoral votes. I probably would not have done that if I lived in a swing state.
