and said it should be up to the states, he also said something like same sex partnerships should not be discriminated against in terms of adoption and other things. What did I miss?

He did not know the specifics of two bills it seemed - it was not impressive. Like I said before, not his best night.
He certainly has comprehensive policy - which leads me to wonder whether he is actually involved in developing it or not?
