the "size of a sparrow fart in the eye of a typhoon" ...
which means it's not much at all. My question is, if it's so small then why do they want to mess with it at all. He said they voted for this back in the 80's. Hmmm... sounds like bullshit to me.

like myself. That is the ONLY reason numb-nuts has pushed it so hard. It has been off-limits forever, and the AWOL punk thinks he can change it at his whim. Fuk him.

drilling, because from what I've learned, there's not that much oil there. It's a distraction, against us and the environment. But this will impact the environment, and for what?

even though it will be inconsequential as a measure to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. (Consequential for the caribou well yes, consequential in making America energy-independent or safe from foreign influence, not at all)
They have a God given right to make all the money they can think of ways to make: they put their candidate over the top. God works in mysterious ways and electoral fraud is just one of them.

It's all about leaving their "mark" on pristine terrritory, also not unlike rape. And it will set a precedent to move on to the next environmental target with their drills, dredges, chainsaws and dynamite, to suck the lifeblood of the planet.
Drilling the ANWR is symbolic of their greed and lust for power. It's because *they can*. That's all.
