5. I hate Mitch with a purple passion. He brought the art of dirty

politics to an art form years ago when he smeared Dee Huddleston just to get that Senator seat. McConnell is one of those power hungry whores in bed with Cheney, Rove, PNAC and anyone else that will give him unrestricted power. Doesn't care how they get it or who or what it hurts obtaining it - just wants the power for power's sake. I'm not sure where McConnell ends and Rove begins but I do think they are identical twin brothers when it comes to methods of nastiness - there is no depth to how low Mitchy will stoop to keep his seat. McConnell just tries to play reasonable elder statesman when the cameras are rolling but he would kill the eldest son or daughter of every family in America if it would help him stay in the Senate. Amoral, lying, cross-eyed, money-whoring corporate prick. Other than that, he is o..... not he's not - he's worse.

no better than a pernicious maggot. When Ky was ready to elect a really thoughtful Dem as Senator last fall instead of braindead Bunning, Mitch called in all his markers and made sure the gay amendment was on the ballot just in case. Even so I doubt Bunning really won. Many people I know cannot stand to hear his name mentioned.

8. I think he meant they have the 51 votes, including Cheney's to change the

rules. This option is called "nuclear" because they would have to have Cheney rule that a 2/3 vote is not required to change the rules. Cheney has already said he was ready to do this. Remember this bunch wants absolute power, and we know what follows from absolute power.

The Rethugs would invoke this "nuclear" option when a cloture vote for either corporate toady, Janice Rogers Brown or Patricia Owen failed.
