CNN and MSN : Bush Job Approval at 51%

CNN and MSN are now using http://www.rasmussenreports.com/ to show that bush got a bounce out of the bombings in London. They both quoted the new polls released today. Is this a bounce or bullshit? Whatever it is, they are pushing it. Is anyone else seeing a media made bush bounce and rehnquist retirement this week to counteract what is going on? Why is death always a good thing for bush in the media's eyes?

For one... Rasmussen was so accurate on the election of 2004 some people thought they were plugged into the BBV machines. They were off by less then 1/2 of 1%. Who cares what CNN and MSN says? Rassmussen had him bottom out at 46% on June 29. He'd been slowly edging up but his numbers today are the same as the day before the bombings...51%. If CNN and MSNBC are connecting this to the bombings they are again mistaken. Look at the numbers.

If you look at how the numbers track, the bounce came after the country celebrated the fourth and has remian steady since...

Also, a 4+/- bounce in a tracking poll is meaningless.

You have to see a trend over two or three weeks, on approval ratings, in order to confirm a trend...

Horse race is different. But news filters in during the summer.....
