Why is Liberman doing better than Kucinich?

If Kucinich can't beat Lieberman in NH, he sure as heck won't be able to beat Bush in the general election.

Sorry, but I've seen lots of postings right her that say as much. The other Jewish folk I know voted for Gore/Lieberman last time around because ... Lieberman is Jewish.

Thats not to say that Lieberman has nothing else to offer. Just like Christians ALMOST ALWAYS vote for Christians. It seems like Jewish folk have a soft spot for a Jewish presidential candidate.

BTW, there is ZERO chance that Lieberman will be a Veep candidate this time around.

most of the people who like Kucinich best are afraid to vote for him. They're scared he can't be elected so they find someone more pleasing to the media. Even if you think this, you should still vote for Kucinich. He's not going to win the nomination, but damn at least show your support. If no one votes for him, his ideas will be thrown aside and won't be paid attention to. Its sending the message that people don't care about what Kucinich does.

Because if people were exposed to Kucinich's policies and ideals they would vote for him. Because Kucinich wants what people want. Jobs, Education, Healthcare for all, less soldiers dying.

Of course there would still be people supporting centrists, but if DK had even a small part of the coverage that the corporatists get, he would be doing a heck of a lot better.

is too far out of the "mainstream" (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Lieberman has:

- Name Recognition from 2000
- Sympathy from being part of the denied winning party
- Republican crossovers
- Hawkish Independents
- Hawkish Democrats
- Moderate Independents

- Kucinich has raised less money than Lieberman and has therefore been able to campaign less there. That means less people know about him.

-Kucinich would be tagged as a socialist and would therefore probably lose 40 something states. Hell, they'll tag John Kerry as a socialist.

Simple, because whether or not you like Leiberman or his opinions the fact is he'd stand a pretty good chance against Bush in an election (I think he has the best chance of all those now running), while Kucinich, on the other hand, would have more than a hard time running against Dan Quayle. Electibility.
