If he doesn't get what he wants to cover his ass...
Bin Laden or some other "most wanted" terrorist will rear his ugly head just in time for Christmas break. That way the pubs can be on every political talk show from now till February to scare the American publicans into bullying the patriot act back on the books without revisions and dropping all talk about how many laws their president has broken.
