| The Iraq War-a Christmas poem |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-25-05 05:49 PM by jenmito
Bush and HIS family are snug in their beds..
While bullets are whizzing past our soldiers' heads.
Cheney and family are sharing good cheer
While soldiers are worried that death is still near
Rumsfeld and family are having great fun
While soldiers have bombings from which they must run
Rice and her loved ones will eat a great meal
While soldiers are learning how losing limbs feel
On Bush and on Cheney-on Rumsfeld and Rice!
The war that YOU started is goin' "real nice"
As long as it's others you send in to fight
YOU'LL have a nice Christmas and sleep well at night.
HOW COULD YOU???:grr:

| 1. Do they have a conscience? |

I don't see how they can. Their world view is twisted and very very different from mine.

I remember looking at photos of Lincoln, how he aged and looked quite melancholy during the War-I think you could truly see how he was mourning the troops who were lost (some were personal friends, including one of the first to die in the War). I even recall how LBJ looked absolutely devistated by the way Viet Nam was going. Even Nixon had a haunted look at Watergate wound down to its inevitable conclusion.
But I don't see that in Chimpy. Just the same mindlessness-check out his eyes sometime--its like there's nothing there.....
