58 year old Randy McDonnell, a Biloxi Mississippi accountant is running against my congressman Gene Taylor this year. Mr McDonnel, a republican, says he is running because "WASTE IS RAMPANT IN WASHINGTON." He says he's "INTERESTED IN SAFEGUARDING TAXPAYER'S MONEY." Republican values indeed. Chalk up a win for Taylor.

Trent Lott has no primary opposition but four democrats are after his seat. The primary is 6 June.
