People who think Dean is unelectable - whom do you support? (nt)

1. He's not unelectable per se. It'll just be harder with him as our nominee

to knock Bush out of the box.

My preferred candidate is Wes Clark. If Dean is nominated I will work as hard as I can for him. If a ham sandwich is nominated I will work as hard as I can for it.

Clark is my best bet for a positive future BUT first, last and always I am ABB.

4. I find it amazing that some Clark supporters

drop by the Dean blog and all they can say about Clark is that he is "electable".

Talk about unconvincing.

Then they try to trash Dean. I'm so immune by now it is incredible. Its curious that the most venomous stuff thrown at Dean here and on the blog just rolls off me now.

Dean supporters go by Clark's blog and brag that only they have the power. Supporters aren't running for President, the candidates are.

That's what I'm worried about. Plus, I just don't think Dean's the best candidate anyway.

I'm not even sure I will vote in the primary. All the candidates leave me somewhat cold.

But I do agree with many that Dean may be unelectable. Not because of his positions but because of how he and his supporters have allowed him to be portrayed. And they have been given a false sense of security by their success that gathering a bunch of money and names on meet ups is just as easy as countering the right wing spin and media machine. When you point out words that might be used against Dean in a general election their solution is that they will "get the truth out". Yeah, good luck with that.

then Kucinich and Dean are tied. I think Kucinich is underrated and Dean way overrated. Kucinich, Clark, Gephardt and Edwards are all working class heros. Kerry and Clark are war heros who grew into statesmen.

His electability is a plus, but it is Clark that makes it a must.

The man is simply incredible...a classic liberal, a strong constitutionalist, a believer in the ability of people to govern themselves, and cognisant of a government's responsibilities toward its people. Add 31 years of thinking about and being actively involved in foreign policy, and Clark is a candidate the likes of which we haven't seen since RFK.
