Allen's response is to go into a tirade about the first amendment guaranteeing freedom of religion.

That's not the question, Felix. The question is why have you felt the need all these years to lie about your mother's background?

And since when is it "casting aspersions" to ask if your parent is Jewish?

is if he was asked was she Tunisian/French, which would imply he knew what Macaca meant. I can't see what Jewish heritage has to do with that or anything else but feel free to tell me I'm wrong if it means something more than I'm aware of.

it's the fact that he's so ashamed of it that he has lied about it in public. He is on the record as saying that she is not Jewish. Geneologists and historians have researched her and found out that indeed she is. Given Felix's history of disdain for minorities, it fits the pattern that this guy is such a notorious bigot, he will lie even about his own mother's heritage. It's a character issue. A big one. Any rational normal person takes pride in their race, ethnicity, heritage, etc. Felix apparently so desperately wanted to be part of the "southern white boy" group while growing up that he denies his own mother's identity.

It's not so veiled anti semitism, self hatred and dishonesty all wrapped up in one majorly fucked up piece of cowboy boot wearing garbage.

a slur. There have been many posts on his mothers very patrician Jewish heritage...and how famous the family was and how she probably was very aware of what that word meant.
