| My guy (Clark) bows out. . .yet I am pumped and excited. |
|
First of all before you think I am some fair weather Clark fan I must remind you that I was a "Draft Clark" leader since July and I have traveled to Little Rock, Arizona and Michigan for Wes Clark. I have given my time and my money for this man. I was up at 5:00 AM every morning and I was in bed at 1:00 AM every night all because of Wes Clark!
That being said. . .General Clark has dropped out and I am still pumped and excited. Why you ask? Because the Democrats are alive. . .alive and well! There is a true energy out there. There is an excitement out there. Anyone that has been in a primary state will tell you it real!
Whether you support Braun, Clark, Dean, Edewards, Gephardt, Graham, Kerry, Kucinich, Lieberman or Sharpton you support them because you believe in them and you believed that they would be a better president than Bush.
My guy did not do as well as I had hoped, but I still believe in him. He got me excited, he got me INVOLVED, and I am not stopping because he ran out of gas. Clark supporters and supporters of all candidates. . .don't give up! We have work to do!

we do still have work to do! Even if Kerry drops out tomorrow I'm in it for the long haul. It might be hard at first, but there's something all the candidates have in common- they're Dems! First and foremost!

It was a pleasure to support a man as decent , wise and courageous as Wesley Clark. He'll always have a spot in my heart, and I'm sure he'll be a big help in the fall in whatever capacity he is asked to serve.
And I look forward to voting for John Kerry in the fall.

I'm a little bit disappointed, but even in the last few weeks, I saw Clark's bid as a long shot.
But there's much to be happy about. The Bush regime is crumbling fast. We finally get to take back the country. And I am firmly ABB (though I will keep the Clark avatar for a few more days).

I gave to his campaign. Yes I'm disappointed. But Bush must go. I just hope Clark can figure in the ticket as VP or at least a cabinet member. He has so much to offer.

just sit here and try to put the pieces back together. I thought, and I still do, that the General is THE man that we need to lead our country right now. I want to hear what he has to say. Being the great man that he is, I'm sure that he will be the one to inspire us to go on and do whatever it takes to rid ourselves of this verminous bunch of lying shits who have commandeered the White House, stomped all over the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and robbed the U.S. Treasury blind. I am sure he will still be there for us, because he knows how much he means to so many us. God Bless Wesley Clark.

You honor his candidacy and our party. Wes is a fine man man who waged an honorable and hard fought campaign.
Your attitude, in the face of Wes Clark's impending withdrawal from the campaign, should serve as an inspiration to us all.

Excellent post. I couldn't agree more. We should all be excited by what has so far been achieved this primary season. Not just Clark supporters but Dean supporters, Edwards supporters, Gephardt supporters, Kucinich supporters in addition to Kerry supporters. Each of us thinks we know what is best for the country and the party but we should be humble before our fellow Democrats who looked at all the candidates in detail with pretty much the same concern for getting rid of Bush that we all share. Let's honor their choice and work together to make it happen.
