Does Clark have a political future?

I hope he remains instrumental in the Democratic Party, but I'm wondering if he'll seek office again. Will he run for Governor of Arkansas against Huckabee in 2006? He can't run for Senate, because Arkansas has two Democrats. Maybe, if we can get a Democrat back in, be appointed to Secretary of State or Secretary of Denfense?

The reason I supported him is because he has so much experience on the international level. I think he would have to be in a cabinet position.

This man is brilliant! He would make a fab Sec. of State, IMHO. Or Ambassador to the UN.

He will also get any future political campaign targeted by the national party (which means $ and full DNC support).

There is no question in my mind, that he has embarked on a whole new journey within his life... this campaign was, in my prediction, just the beginning - not a one-time performance. You can't hear his words and think that he doesn't believe passionately that there needs to be some significant changes in this country... that doesn't just disappear at the end of a campaign.

The man has vision, compassion, humility and is terribly bright. He needs some political "seasoning", but since he's a fast learner, it won't be a problem. I'm looking forward to continuing to see him work for the good of the Party.

Oh, and another thing: He may be 59 years old, but he appears to be about as physically fit as anyone I've ever seen. He might be in just as good a shape to run again in four or eight years.

He'd be ideal for any number of cabinet positions, ambassadorships, or party leadership spots. The DNC could benefit greatly from having someone with his organizational skills in its top ranks -- presuming, of course, he really is going to go Democratic for the foreseeable future.

He could probably take his pick of state legislature positions, maybe run for governor, or representative in a few years if he wants to delve into legislation. But I suspect that would be a waste of his talents, as he'd be a much better fit in a highly-visible leadership role. I hope to see him playing a part in the next Democratic administration.

and I think he's committed to public service. I sensed that both he and Gert enjoyed campaigning.

I also think that Wes, Jr. may run for office. I hope so.
