The surprise would have been if they hadn't been behind it. Ironic I find that people and some here mention how the repugs did Max Cleland the same way and thought it was atrocious but seem to find nothing/very little wrong in this instance. Sad that people's dislike for a person/persons will allow them to blame the person rather than condemn the wrong.
