Dean supporters for Dean

Dean's positions remain unchanged. If the reasons you supported him have also remained unchanged, I'd encourage you to vote for Dean in your state primary to send a message to the convention that we know we still "have the power".

If we're going to be stuck with another business-as-usual insider, let's at least let the convention know that we're still demanding to be heard.

I'm well aware that Dean isn't "running". I also know that the party can't be hurt by my primary vote if I choose to use it to make a statement.

I've said numerous times that the nominee will get my vote in November. However, why would I EVER fall in line behind a candidate that I feel represents exactly what's wrong with this Party before the convention? Why wouldn't I use my primary vote to attempt to send a message?

Your argument seems akin to "America, love it or leave it". It's the loyalty I have to real Democratic principles and my desire to have a stronger party that prompts me to vote for Dean in the primary. Sometimes you can't turn a blind eye in the name of Party politics. Sometimes you have to expose what you perceive to be the flaws in hopes that they're dealt with.

I am just tired of the anti-ABB sentiment I've seen around here. Lotta good it did in 2000 with the Greens.

I understand where you are coming from. I was for Dean; at one point I was dead set against Kerry, after he made remarks about "getting over it" and such.

But I have come to realize that this is a lot bigger than one man. ANd Kerry ain't so bad considering the alternative.

If I was disrespectful I apologize. There is some definite sourgrapes bitterness out there. We need to move beyond that and keep our eyes on the prize. I hope you can see my point of view.

i wish you well in your primary. I have been considering still voting Dean in the primary here in Cali, but I think a vote for party unity sends a stronger message to Bush. I have bigger bones to pick with them than with the DLC right now.
