Dean has the ability and the straight forward determination to hold the Democrats feet to the fire.

That is why it is critical to continue to vote for Dean in the primaries.

Just think about the barganing power he would have.

A former presidential candidate who dropped out in February still resonating with the voters so much so, that he continued to win delegates.

Should he be VP, he can help drive policy, chair commissions, and work for us.

The same can be said if he held a cabinet post.

Maybe Edwards would ask Dean, but never Kerry after Dean went after him in such an ugly way, by calling him just another Republican. Besides, 2 small state New Englanders won't fly.

Although history tell us that Kennedy absolutly had no use for Johnson, and Johnson did not like Kennedy at all.

I think that the bad blood between Kerry/Dean is real.

The Osama/Dean smear ad in Iowa had Kerry's fingerprints as well as his name all over it.

20. I read that ad came from a political action group, not Kerry. Got a link

to demonstrate otherwise? I agree it was a very bad ad, but I don't remember ever seeing John Kerry come on at the end and say he approved the message.

It would depend on who was at the top of the ticket. Kerry? No way. Edwards? Maybe. Kucincich? No...I think Kucinich would need to find someone to balance him out in areas Dean couldn't.

I think Dean is great -- I think he's done so much to get the spineless Democratic wimps in Congress off their behinds.

I don't think he'd be right for a VP candidate, though, especially
with Kerry. Two "Liberal" New Englanders would turn off too many voters.

Edwards has always been my first choice, though. I think he needs someone with experience in foreign affairs to offset the criticism that he's a novice in this area. Therefore, I think Clark would be his best choice as VP.

If Kerry gets the nomination, I think he should pick Edwards.

Don't forget there are many undecided or independent voters who vote based on sound bites and image. Edwards has the charisma that Kerry lacks.

Edwards/Dean might work, but I don't think Edwards is going to be the nominee. Kerry/Dean would be a disaster. We'd win ten states, tops.

You will never get me to believe that Dennis Kucinich has even a snowball's chance in Hell of not being mathematically eliminated on March 2nd, so I will only say that what applies to Kerry/Dean applies doubly for DK/Dean.

It would not be feasible. Having the support of Vermont is not much of a showing, and Dean was unable to carry his own region of the country, and polling in the entire Northeast does not show him having much support there either. You dont just select a candidate from a region because he is from that region, You select one because he has had a strong showing in that region. And Deans showing was not particularly good in most regions of the country.

Ocassionally, a VP is selected for his abilty to raise money for the Democratic Party, but that is something that Dean has not shown either. He has shown that he can raise money for himself, but that does not translate into money for other Democrats.
