Edwards 11% http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/fl/florida_democratic_primary-261.htmlYes- Florida's delegates don't count but Florida is a microcosm of the nation with roughly the same percentage of Caucasians, African Americans, and Hispanics...

She wants to soften the blow of her likely loss in South Carolina.

I'll take FL without its delegates and clean up on 2/5 because America , demographically looks a lot more like Florida than South Carolina...

The person pointing out that Illinois is a better microcosm without also mentioning that Barack also comes from there is ludicrous.

Your so eager to attack you miss the point entirely.
Obama has already shown how well he does in a microcosm of the nation. He won a difficult primary and then overwhelmingly in the general election. He won rural white counties south of Richmond Virginia with over 70% of the vote. And yes he won some of those same counties in the primary against two white challengers.

Making anything short of a blowout irrelevant.
And Illinois is far more Democratic than the rest of the nation as well.

if Obama was actually campaigning there and doing a GOTV campaign. I'm not sure it means much to win a fight against an unarmed man.

I was making the correct inference that Florida is more representative of the United States, demographically, than any other state in the nation , save NY, and Cali...
And on February 5th Hillary will do quite well because it's a nat'l primary and the nation reflects the demographics of Florida...

| 11. Actually SC may not be out of reach for Hillary |
|
The CNN poll on Fri shows Obama with 60% the AA vote and 31% to Hillary (i thought it would be more)
31% of 50% AA votes is about 16% of the total AA vote.
Now the white vote is the mystery in SC but if the white vote splits Hillary's way as it has in the last 3 primaries massively, she may take 60-70% maybe more, if her current polling holds that would give her an additional 30%+ or so. If this holds out then Barack will take between 42 - 50% and Clinton around 39-46%, Edwards 5-10%
I have to say, the white vote in SC is going to be very unpredictable.
I actually think John Edwards is not gonna do well in SC, I think people are realligning their votes to the big 2.
Thats not enough for him to walk away with a convincing win if its that close.
Survey USA's last poll shows Obama on 46% and Clinton 36%, but the telling thing is, it has a MOE of 5%.
This thing is not over. It may be closer than we think.

roughly the same %. Not hardly. Maybe you have some stats for that, curious as they always indicate FL as a state certainly not like others.
