... one fucking bit.
You should SEE that fucking asshole John O'Neil spew his fucking bullshit at Kerry on the Dick Cavett show.
I mean, it's both amazing and sickening.
But the congruence with the right-wing bullshit character assassination of Richard Clarke is pretty cool. I mean, we KNOW who the bastards we're fighting really are, don't we?

John O'Neil is a 70's version of a freeper.

I cut away to catch Condi on CBS, but for the first 35 minutes, O'Neil literally did not make an argument that would've been recognized in a freshman rhetoric class.
It was ENTIRELY insult.

| 7. He hasn't changed. When he was talking in the lead-in he was |
|
trying to imply that he won the debate. He also brought out his current spin that he was there longer than Kerry, although he didn't say how many Purple Hearts he earned. There were a number of posters here earlier in the Primary touting his line that Kerry took the easy way out. He also tried to say he wasn't political but served as Rehnquist's clerk. No politics there I'm sure.

O'Neil literally only made one true and valid argument that would've been recognized in a freshman rhetoric class, and Kerry then DEMOLISHED it in one question, "Did you participate in a free fire zone?"
Argument over.

And while Kerry is not all things to all people, him winning assures one thing that I think everyone should take into consideration.
This entire pack of scoundrels will be out of power.
Good enough for me.
We can ride Kerry later. And will. :)

| 3. Change is just so WRONG! |
|
Change means that somebody made a mistake--change means you have to pay attention--change means the Bible isn't infallible, nor the Pope, nor Jerry Farwell, nor any of the excuses for not having to think for oneself. Change is for victims, who get the short end of the stick.
Change is for losers. So let's just give the poor losers some change, shall we?

| 5. I watched the show when it originally aired as an 18-year-old |
|
with a 1-A draft classification (but an ambiguous lottery number).
I remember thinking then that Kerry clearly won, but I figured I was biased.
I presumed that my memory since had exaggerated Kerry's victory and O'Neil's performance.
I was too kind, way too kind.

by the way...I didn't know O'Neil shared his kidney with Cavett, but I guess he owed Dick something! :nopity:
