Does anybody else find it disturbing that Tucker Carlson is always so ebullient about Nader on CNN's Crossfire? He calls Nader principled and righteous, yet if a Democratic candidate held Naderesque beliefs about Iraq and corporate taxing, Carlson would lambast him for being an idiot/lunatic/Commie, etc. This correlates well with the fact that many Republicans are floating Nader's campaign boat. I have a good feeling that many Nader voters in newspaper polls will come around to vote for Kerry during crunch time, but I think incidents like this show that Nader is being used as a tool by his own enemies.

Because he wants Nader in the race so he takes votes from Kerry. Pretty obvious to me.

He made me ill. It was so condescending because you knew he really didn't like him and he kept saying how we should embrace him because he was the only principled Dem. It was really infuriating. I stopped watching that show because I can't stand how he talks. He thinks we are so stupid that we can't see what he is tring to do. It is really insulting.

from Kerry :eyes:
I had a Republican acquaintance try to pull this shit, and I replied, well are YOU voting for Nader then? The answer: Well, uhm no.
Hmmmm, guess he's not *principled and righteous enough* to take away votes from the liar and thief.

Of course he's going to pimp Nader.
I did the same when Buchanan ran: "Run Pat, Run!"
"I have a good feeling that many Nader voters in newspaper polls will come around to vote for Kerry during crunch time, but I think incidents like this show that Nader is being used as a tool by his own enemies."
If Nader really viewed the Rethugs as "his own enemies" he wouldn't be running at all.

If I volunteer then I will only do it because Im posessed to get the good work done and will quit if I get pink in the belly , unenthused, or whatever.
So tell me kind sir , are you condemming Kerry for not wanting to repeal Taft-Hartly? Workers have a living hell you know. What else are you pressuring Kerry on? I have seen (and others have as well in my town)companys fire workers for wanting to form a union . They cleverly waited for the pro union ralley to decide which workers to fire for "some other reason". Wallmart fires people who want to form unions. My brother who lives in and works in Maryland (a Democratic stronghold for decades) had to sign away his right to a lunch break during 12 hour shifts to get his job. He didnt get workers comp for being hurt on the job and missing work for 5 weeks.
Or are you milking this clownish disruption in Naders organizations just for sound bites? Maybe that the problem .

| 16. First, what's a Nader supporter doing on this site? |
|
I thought it was for Democrats.
Kerry doesn't need to be "pressured" on anything NOW. Nader supporters need to try to understand politics. ALL Presidential candidates who want to have a chance of winning a general election must move closer to the middle. Why? Because middle-America Independent swing-voters elect the President. Kerry can't win by moving further to the left in a general election. The time to push for progressive changes is AFTER the election.
Unless Naderites wake up to this fact and support Kerry now, they will be irrelevant after Kerry wins in November. The choice is theirs.
And what Nader did with HIS OWN employees is definitely relevant. It shows that he has no personal morals. His union busting tactics didn't involve "volunteers". He PERSONALLY repressed his own paid employees. Nader is a hypocrite of the worst kind.
