| Kerry/Edwards campaign calendar? |
|
How the heck do you find out when and where one or both of our candidates are going to appear? I spent several minutes trying to find a schedule or calendar of events at the www.johnkerry.com website with no luck. They event search system there brings up local events, like house parties.
I'm willing to travel for a couple of hours to get to see them in person (I'm in Virginia, near Washington DC). But if I'm going to take a day off work I need to plan in advance.

| 1. For security reasons, they don't publish long-range plans |

I noticed this too. I even pointed the problem out on my blog. They tell you where they've been, not where they're going. Not the best metaphor I can think of... ;)
Seriously, though, that should be front-and-center on the home page. Not having it there is like a website for a sports league not having its standings as almost the first thing you see when the page loads. Dumb.
Hope someone at johnkerry.com is reading this, or that someone who reads it can get through to the webmasters. They need to correct this fast.

My mom and I were just discussing how we'd love to see K/E, AND we'd give anything to hear Teresa speak. I wonder if you have to sign up as an Online volunteer to get the schedule?

| 4. You have to get in touch with your local Democratic party. |
|
They'll put you on a list of people to call if they come to your town.
That's my guess, anyway.

I'm already on the local contact list, but I'll be pro-active and contact them.

I get info from the Kerry State HQ first, then a Kerry Yahoo email list for the state, then my local local Dem club. Sign up to volunteer at your nearest Kerry HQ, even if it's miles away. Get on their list, then you should get an email a few days before they're going to show up. Cover everything and hopefully, you'll find out. And browse message boards, the Kerry blog and forum. Sometimes people post when they find out local info.

| 5. I'm pretty sure I saw this for both campaigns at ABC's The Note. |
|
I usually go there following a link at www.dailykos.com (not sure of the exact URL).
