| The differences between Alan Keyes and Hillary Clinton. |
|
Besides the obvious policy stances, that it. Keyes is going to run for the Senate seat in IL, while he lives in Maryland. This is comparable to Hillary's run in 2000 for the NY Senate seat.
1. It is far easier for a Democrat to win in NY than a Republican to win in IL. 2. Name recognition. Hillary was (and is) known nationwide, for good or for ill. Keyes is known to a far smaller population. 3. Hillary was in NY by late 1999 and visited every county in order to estimate her chances. Keyes will have less than four months until Election Day. 4. National Republicans poured money into NY to help Hillary lose. National Democrats will be pouring money in IL to help nominee Barack Obama win. 5. Hillary was against a Long Island Congressman. Keyes is running against The Next Big Thing in the Democratic Party, especially after his performance at the DNC. 6. Hillary was well-funded. Keyes is not.

| 1. Did Hillary ever live in New York? |
|
I'm thinking she was able to make a connection too.......Yes, I know they bought a home there......was there any history prior to that?

| 9. Well, Hillary lmoved to New York prior to the primary election! |
|
And would have stayed if she had lost. And went to every county. She at least MADE a connection prior to being the candidate. Keyes wants the offer first, then he will decide to move or not.

It is far easier for a Democrat to win in NY than a Republican to win in IL.
the illinois republican party is in a mess at the moment, but we have had republican governors for most of my memory. keyes is running to replace a repub incumbent. some of the longest serving and most powerful repub congress critters are from illinois, including speaker hastert.
and hillary and bill were moving somewhere when they decided to move to new york. their lease was up on their dc digs. keyes is moving strictly to run.
sorry, i'm getting cranky about these hillary discussions. the 2 situations have nothing to do with each other. hillary participated in the process. keyes is being installed by a cabal behind closed doors.

I'll be shocked out of my chair if he gets more than 36% of the vote.

Keyes installed by the caball is exactly the point.
Hillary ran in the primaries in her state. Was chosen by Dem voters to represent them. I'll bet Keyes can't even tell us the date the IL primary was held.
There's no other word for it but carpetbagger.
