| What is a good website for candidate information? |
|
I'm moving to Virginia for college (oh yeah), and I regret to say that I am completely ignorant when it comes to all of the candidates below the Presidential level (duh). What's a good website for seeing all the candidates (and I mean *all* of them, even the ones running for shit like the school board) as well as their views and campaign promises. I really want to be able to make an informed decision about this.
Thanks!

| 2. You might want to post this over in the Virginia state forum |

where the locals are more likely to see it, before it sinks to the bottom of the page.
My recommendation would be to search for websites of the candidates themselves. Even the school board candidates probably have one by now. If you don't have the list of candidates in the area yet, you might want to pull up the website of the local newspaper or TV station who will probably have a list of candidates online. They might have some info on the candidates positions on the issues as well, but given the current mediawhore tendencies in this country, that may not be a wise primary source of information.
And, of course you can always ask your fellow students, once you move to VA. Hopefully they will be informing themselves as well.
