Have you heard of the new anti-Kerry commercial?

This morning, on Unfiltered, they were mentioning a new commercial that's supposed to be coming out. It's done in the style of 'Swift Boat' nonsense...and it addresses African-Americans...the jist is (supposedly) that it says Kerry is rich and white, how is going to help you (there was more, I just forgot).

What kills me is there are people who really thing these are valid points...and not a smear campaign. Wackos.

Jaysus, the republican party is the WORST when it comes to reaching out to African-Americans. Do they realize how stupid and insulting this is?

I read a survey that said the majority of African Americans were against the war in Iraq even before it started. They were on to Bush from the get-go. Too bad it took the rest of the country this long to catch up.

13. What kills me

is that the same people who think it's a valid point and not a smear campaign refer to it as "Bush bashing" when Kerry points out Bush's failures over the last four years! If that's not a valid point, i don't know what is!

The other thing that kills me is this perception of Bush as a "regular guy". I have two things to say about that - first of all, he's an elite, rich, Ivy League, easterner pretending to be an aw-shucks Texas rancher which is ridiculous. But even more so, why in the world would anyone want a "regular guy" in the White House?! I don't want some bumbling idiot who crushes beer cans on his head and throws backyard barbecues leading the country! I want someone with brains and diplomatic skills and knowledge of the world!
