| I've never thought the Karl Rove was a genius. |

Think about it... After the 2000 RNC convention Bush was 17 points up and facing a guy mired with Clinton Fatigue. AND Gore came back to beat his guy by 500 thousand votes.
He then inherits 9/11 that put his boy in the 90 percent approval level and has managed to blow that to the mid-forties. Imagine if the gift of 9/11 didn't come Dubya's way? W would be in the low thirties.
This guy ain't no fucking genius. I think he's a failure who gets props for a good job when all he's done is a lousy job.

| 1. Rove never even graduated from college |
|
I think he must be the first person with nothing but a high school degree to occupy a position in the White House.

Not to us, of course - it made me want to f'n vomit, but for general consumption Rove sucked just about everything he could out of the post-9/11 atmosphere.

| 3. Rove is dangerous because he is a vile, foul, ruthless, amoral criminal. |
|
The campaign is going to get much uglier, especially if Kerry continues to lead.

Haven't you ever seen a kung fu movie? When you become frustrated and angry, you come even further off-balance and get your ass kicked that much harder. Kerry is centered. Bush functions well when things are going his way, but loses it when they are not. Did you see what happened when that Irish reporter gave him a hard time - he freaked out!
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE DEBATES!!!!

but consider this.....Doctor Frankenstein also was a genius, a mad scientist genius. I wonder if there is a familial connection.

he's a one trick pony and people are on to the trick. It's the same old crap over and over and now people want some substance and it's not there. W keeps desperately throwing out the lines - "turned the corner", "results matter", "ownership" - but the audience has left the building.
Even the terror card is being greeted with rolling eyes.

It's about being a low-down, dirty, do-anything piece of GOP excrement.

He knows what he's doing and shouldn't be underestimated.
Do you really believe that turning a drunk, cokehead, lifelong loser into President of the U.S. qualifies as "a lousy job"?

He's ruthless, and that has worked to an extent. Combine this with the fact that the powers that be are letting the political drive EVERYTHING (I think there's even been an insider who has been quoted as saying exactly that).
But he's no genius. And he's out of tricks.
The attack on America, certainly not Rove's doing, is almost completely responsible for any shred of popularity Bush ever had outside his core 30%. And that's fading fast. If we were never attacked, Bush would be hovering right down there at about 30% approval, headed for his father's fate (he may be anyway).
If Bush is re-elected, blame it on the use of fear as a political weapon. While admittedly that is Rove's plan, it is not "genius" Ruthless and unethical to the extreme, yes. But not genius.
