| Major Props To Chris Matthews.... |
|
He demolished John O'Neil...
Chris Matthews set the standard for how to deal with the Swift Boat Veterans for Bush goons....
No DNC operative could have done a better job...
I have seen alot of great attorneys but Chris Matthews's questioning of John O'Neil was masterful....

Relying on someone like him to give you a fair treatment is playing Russian Roulette. We need better spokespeople, ones who know how to handle goons like Tweety and O'Reilly.

Maybe it was a little unfair to not give the Vets for Kerry fellow equal time, but Matthews was busy attacking O'neil, telling him that he was calling the Navy a bunch of liars.

because up until this point, the pundits have been pretty much letting these sleazeballs skate by. He probably assumed he'd get the kid gloves treatment again.

There are a lot of people around this forum that dis Matthews, and he just destroyed the "Unfit for Command" co-author. I have never seen a public embarrassment like that. I suggest every democrat view that interview. Matthews did it the way Kerry and Edwards should have.

One day he'll call Gore a pathological liar, the next he'll slam Bush*. He opposed the Iraq War, and gushed over Bush's mission accomplished photo op, calling bush* our "Warrior King". Now he's slamming John Oneil for what is clearly a beyond the pale, insultingly dishonest smear campaign ochrestrated by the bush* team. I think he's a social chameleon, when he's with his conservative friends he spouts out right wing garbage, when he's with liberals or conservatives he doesn't like he's fairly objective. The best example of this is Maher's interview with him a few weeks back. He was his usual annoying self when Nooner, Bankly, and Miller were on, but when Maher came on he turned into a journalist.
