| My experience with 3 Young Repubs |
|
Some of you know I've done talk radio, and while I've left the show I still do the audio production for it, including alot of humor that is decidely anti-Dubya.
Today I was driving to a job when our host introduced 3 "Young Republicans" and they immediatey began reading the talking points. I HAD to swing by the station!!!
I walked in and immediately they went on the defensive, not know WHO I was. One had misstated a fact about Dubya's education spending, and I lanced that one. He asked where MY facts came from and I responded the Washington Post.
"Probably from the editorial page," he said, and the other two laughed.
I responded, "Oh yeah, it wasn't the Washington Times," and they went blank. "Sun Yung Moon?" Nothing. They thought I was making it up!!!
After a few other witty kicks in the pants from me, their 'leader' said, "Hey, why don't you marry Michael Moore, you'd make a great gay couple."
Ohhhh... Did you use ALL 5 brain cells to come up with that one?
It devolved from there... When discussion turned to ABORTION, I told them I support retroactive abortion to age 21, just to be sure!!!!
IDIOTS!
Don't even bother engaging these morons. We must work on the undecideds!!!

If they supported the war in Iraq? If the answer was yes, did you ask them why they haven't signed up?

If they aren't fighting in Iraq, then they don't support the President.
There is no excuse for anybody their age who supports the President and the war not to be in Iraq right now.
Should have taken callers. "Who thinks these kids ought to sign up now, and let some of our overworked soldiers come home to their families for a bit?"
Hell, call the Marine recruiting office on the air. "Sarge, this is WKRP radio here, I have three young people who support the war in Iraq. Why don't you help me convince them it's their duty to sign up and fight for what they believe in."
Shoot, even if they have educational plans, they could still sign up and go AWOL like their hero.
BTW, WTF is "We?"
The same gang who will call a decorated veteran of this war a liar and coward 30 years from now, simply because they disagree with his or her political views?
I have two relatives who have already served in this war in Iraq, and when they got home they were called traitors because they were dems. And these kids are not?
Those kids were body bag material, man, you had 'em.
