| Kerry Campaign where the hell is his staement about "Charlie" |
|
Why has he not been on the news today about a damn single thing. Where is a statement or comment about the devasted people of Florida, the people whose vote he is trying to get. People DIED in this hurricane, where is our compassion for the people who we claim we want to help. Someone get on the f(*&^%$ stick and get the candidates out front and center at least offering sympathy. And do not let Kerry take time off campaigning, slow down a bit during convention but keep going to those local meet ups. Christ almighty were trying to win back a nation not win a high school election.

The epople in Florida deserve to have a statement by the man who might be their next commander in chief. These people are devestated, it might not be a terrorist attack but it was total destruction of their lives, including loved ones. I don't think they have to go there but they should at least say something to the people who lost so much, it is called being compassionate and on the "political" side you go down there and ask for support and for their vote but when deveastation hits you don't have time for a comment? If in fact it is out there I apologize and would like a link because I have had the news on all morning and have not seen it. I just called the national Kerry Headquarters and they said they were working on it.

|
or on a phone bank helping the red cross raise donations. If this is the way they are going to response to a natural disaster we are f*&^%$. If he stays on that damn river windsurfing this is what the repuke will roll out in an ad depicting him in the time of crisis. What the hell are those advisors thinking or what the hell is Kerry thinking.

| 8. For Kerry to go to Florida |
|
would be totally tacky.
A brief statement might be in order but going to Florida is silly. He is a candidate not a representative of Florida. Let Bob Graham and Bill Nelson handle it.

He does not need to go to Florida but he has got to get out a strong statement and do it soon, and those Dem senators should be out there helping to pick up the debri. Maybe Edwards ought to go home to North Carolina and amke a statement.

| 11. CNN Kagan did a horrible job on Kerry statement.... |
|
Kerry should have waited and come before the cameras himself. Darren Kagan read it with the tone of a 4th grader reading at 2nd grade level.

Call the national headquarters or the Oregon office and let them know. Since I haven't heard it I can't really make that call, the numbers are the Kerry Website under contact us. I've already called both offices, Oregon I got a recording and National I talked to a person. Actually they said something about Edwards but I'll wait and see if it comes up on the news and then post about it.

| 13. Kerry released this statement |
|
“Teresa and I extend our heartfelt sympathies to the people of Florida whose lives have been devastated by Hurricane Charley. Families across Florida today are coming to grips with incredible loss. In an instant, they have lost loved ones and seen everything they have worked for swept away. Now the difficult work of recovery begins. We offer our full support to the president and governor as the people of Florida rebuild their communities and their lives. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you today and in the difficult days ahead.”

It's a major disaster and, imho, he *should* be out there providing the leadership that the Bush administration isn't providing.

| 18. Why should a Senator from Mass go to Florida? |
|
Yes, he's running for President, but a trip to Florida would be seen for what it is - political pandering.
He has no official capacity to help down there, he'd just be in the way.
I assume you're on your way down there now?
