| An independent party effort for Hillary was on the email wire last night |
|
Folks are becoming convinced Obama will not put her on the ticket.
Emails not from any powers in the party - just folks that are long time Dems (some of whom will be asking for 40 years of donations returned after the theft of 4 delegates in Michigan by the DNC - who knew folks kept records that long!).
This may get interesting as it becomes clear that Obama will not put her on the ticket.

Between sore loser laws and signature requirements for getting on the ballot, she wouldn't be able to get on the ballots of more than 15 states.
She could not eve get on the ballot of her own home state, New York.
As far as returning any donations upon request, that is entirely up to the discretion of the DNC. They can demand all they want, but that doesn't mean a penny needs to go back.

It would be ironic if she starts raising money for an independent run while her campaign owes a ton of debts.
Actually I wonder if thats the only way she can unlock those general election funds.

But Clinton's supporters have many differences with the Obama campaign on public policy. They also have serious concerns about the direction of the Democratic Party. If anyone wants their vote they're going to have to earn it. Hope and change rhetoric isn't enough.

centrists
In fact, both are CORPORATISTS.
Your problem is that the DLC is loosing control... I get it... the old hands had the same issues with a MUCH YOUNGER Bill Clinton who was a YEAR YOUNGER than Obama when he took the oath.
You DO KNOW that....

b/c she won't win. McCain will be President as a result. And everyone will blame her.

| 16. This comes up in every party whenever there is more than 1 strong candidate |
|
Candidate's loyalist supporters have a hard time giving up their dream of their candidate leading the country, so talk of an independent run crops up. This is not the first time such talk has erupted, nor will it be the last.
I've seen it before... I was part of it before. So all I can do is honor the loyal Clinton supporters who continue to desire her leadership for their loyalty and their passion. It's so easy to shake your head and wonder how they could be so deluded... but the other side of that is their strong passion and belief in their candidate, and so, for me, my heart turns me to feelings of empathy and charity towards them. I know what they are experiencing right now because I have felt it too at another time.

|
If she runs as an Indie she is finished with the Dem party. She is finished as a Senator from NY. She will not run because she knows this. This may be a fantasy for Hillary is 44 fans but not for real world Clinton supporters who will get behind the Democratic ticket.

she just does not seem like the type for politcal self-immolation. Although, judging from yesterday, some of her followers do seem to have some substitutional atonement / cannonization delusions about her.
Fat frakking chance on the donations being returned.
By the way, no one can steal or hijack "delegates" that in fact do not exist. Michigan only had any convention delegates after the vote, before it, they had zero. Before the vote, Hillary had zero Michigan delegates, afterwards she had 34.5. This is normally called giving, not stealing.
The bigger and yet unspoken blow was not the 69-59 split, but the right of candidate approval. The Hillbots in MI worked the system to make sure that the "uncommitted" dels named heavily favored Hillary. Now it is clear that those who wanted Hillary wanted Hillary, and those who voted "uncommitted" all but unanimously did not. This was the burglary in progress that was halted by RBC and their decision to award "candidate approval" for Obama's 59, and where Hillary truly lost the day and the race.
