I have beeb hearing about a govt project called HAARP that is supposed to control weather paterns.

Was Charley a way for the repugs and *Bushco to disenfranchise and dislocater Florida voters so shrub can get a win?

The weather service predicted that it would be a big tropical season, yet we actually had no meaninful activity in June or July. I don't see a thing out of the ordinary with Charley, just sorry it hit in a bad spot for a lot of folks. Andrew actually cost Bush I some Florida votes, no reason to assume a killer hurricane is going to bring any votes to the GOP.

In Florida if you move even temporarily, you have to re-register before the election.
I fear it may knock alot of people off the voting rolls.

Every year, numerous hurricanes hit Southeatern USA. Part of natural cycle. Why bring in a silly conspiracy theory here to explain something that's happened every year??? Now if there were tornadoes that moved in very intricate and complex patterns, avoiding all GOP bases and destroying only critical Democratic bases...I will start to listen.

Bush said he has directed Secretary of State Glenda Hood to determine whether approaching elections could be affected by the storm. He said he was uncertain whether the Aug. 31 primaries could go on as scheduled in some counties.
