| Beer with Kerry...or...Beer's with Kerry(Wolf CNN) |
|
I was watching CNN today...it was brutal...but I did it...and Wolf boy Blitzer was on and he mentioned "A beer with Kerry"...later on he referred to the story again...but this time he said..."A couple of beer's with Kerry"... Now...this might be a bit trivial...but how did it go from "A beer(singular)with Kerry" to "A couple of Beer's(plural)with Kerry"...
it's almost as if Wolf was telling everyone that Kerry is a drunk...something of that nature...anyone else catch that...?
Maybe it's nothing but it struck me as being kind of odd...

I'm not really sure what Blitzer's intentions were but maybe they were trying to portray Kerry as a "regular" guy just like some have characterized Bush.
His reference to the couple of beers was just a slip, I think.
Anyway, it was a stupid piece.

I'm listening to Mike Malloy right now...archived from earlier today and he's really ripping into CNN and how they are going on the attack about stupid things in regards to John Kerry...
When I first heard this story today I thought the same thing...well...Kerry is a regular guy...to sit down...have a beer and do an interview...but then I started thinking about all the righties who will probably take this and launch another stupid and senseless attack on Kerry...
I wouldn't put it past them...

He also was asking that GQ guy about Bush being the kind of guy you'd like to have a beer with. The GQ guy corrected him, saying that Bush couldn't drink. Blitzer stumbled and blabbered something I don't remember. So then the guy was like, "I suppose you could drink an apple juice with him".
I don't know. Is Blitzer trying to insinuate Kerry is an alchoholic? HAHA, sorry Blitz. There's only one in this race...

MICHAEL HAINEY, "GQ" MAGAZINE DEPUTY EDITOR: Well, we had two. I ordered the first one, which was Budweiser, and then, Kerry showing his Boston roots, ordered Guinness and he was very happy with that.
BLITZER: So was it fun? Because a lot of people asked the question, would you rather go out and have a beer with George W. Bush or John Kerry? Until now most people, I suspect, most men would have thought George W. Bush. But what did you think?
HAINEY: Well, you can't have a beer with Bush. So there's your problem there. But I would -- I felt enormously lucky to have a beer with Kerry. He's a terrific drinking partner, and it truly shocked me. I mean at "GQ," that was part of our test was this guy is seen as so stiff and, you know, sort of awkward. And I got to tell you, that sort of going elbow-to-elbow with him over a table, over a couple beers, was a real treat for me.
BLITZER: You could have a nonalcoholic beer with the president couldn't you?I thought it was a strange non-sequitor, too. http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0408/17/wbr.00.html

|
try to have a beer with bush and the writer said, it isn't possible to have a beer with the president (referring to * alcoholism)? After a couple of moments, Wolf piped in, but the president can have non-alcoholic beer, can't he? What a douche bag.

You could have tea. Sure, a nice cup of tea and maybe some crumpets. I'm sure that doilies would be involved somehow, perhaps ones manufactured in France. Yup, a nice cup of tea with our Connecticut Yankee president.
Tea with the President. A new meme?

Not like the good old days when you could have a pint of Jack Daniels and an eight ball of coke with ol' Bushie.
