| By his own account, Larry Thurlow has proven himself a liar |
|
Okay, here's the contradictions:
In the commercials, LT has claimed that Kerry's swift boat was not under any fire in the incident where JK won the Bronze Star.
In his own records, during the exact same incident where LT also won a Bronze Star, he claimed that there was small arms fire and automatic weapons fire.
So, he's lying about one of those two.
He should be asked whether he is willing to give up his Bronze Star, since the incident that HE REPORTED apparently was based on a lie. If he was honorable (HAH!) now, and agrees that the Kerry incident was based on HIS lie, then he should publicly announce the return of his own medal for bravery (his Bronze Star).

| 2. Actually the account is from the citation itself - his testimony certainly |
|
would have contributed to that account however - and don't you think that at the time he was awarded the Bronze Star he would have noted that the account was wrong and told someone about it so the official record could be corrected? So either he is lying now - or he accepted an award based on a false account that he had knowledge of and chose to keep silent about. Choose your poison, Larry.

| 3. speed (slow) of media a help? |
|
After seeing that it took the media about five days to find Harkin's "coward" remark, I'm wondering if the slowness of the coverage of the Thurlow lies will aid Kerry - you know, keep this story alive longer and longer...

Last month, Thurlow swore in an affidavit that Kerry was "not under fire" when he fished Lt. James Rassmann out of the water. He described Kerry's Bronze Star citation, which says that all units involved came under "small arms and automatic weapons fire," as "totally fabricated."

| 6. It's a case of "Which one is a lie, Larry?" Either he is lying now (my |
|
belief) or he lied by omission in not informing the Navy at the time he received his bronze star that the facts in the citation were wrong. Does anyone know how the military treats this? If you get an award and it is based on a false account, do you have an obligation to inform your superiors?

| 5. Hey, maybe Kerry has super powers. |
|
He was able to create a zone of protection around the boat he was on, where the other four boats in the formation received fire. That's the only way Thurlow is gonna get out of this one.
No, wait -- Kerry has a cloak of invisibility that he can cast over his immediate area. That's it -- the cloak of invisibility defense.
What a jackass -- money from the RNC actually meant more to him than his own reputation. He was willing to endanger either his military record or his current reputation to 'git that John Kerry!' Dirtbag.
Somebody crank up the Limbo machine -- this is only the beginning of the 'how low can you go?' portion of the campaign season.
